What compute infrastructure is needed for the European SKA Regional Center

The AENEAS team, led by colleagues at the University of Manchester have now published a set of recommendations that describe the elements and services needed for the software stack of a distributed European SKA regional Center. The authors caution that their analysis is based on several key assumptions that may change in the future but remain certain that their findings can serves as guidelines for the future evaluation of key compute infrastructure and services. This report is part of a series of reports that comprise the a comprehensive design study of the European SKA regional center.
